Social Thinking Groups
Social Thinking - These groups are based on Social Thinking concepts, developed by Michelle Garcia Winner. Our social thinking group will help children with social interactions including: play skills with their peer group, participation, and communication in various environments.
Groups are lead by Director Mahshid Hosseini, MScOT. This group is $500 for the set of 5 sessions. The program is appropriate for children aged 5 to 7. We have a maximum of 3 participants. We have a verified volunteer present to assist with groups. If you are interested and your child is outside this age range, please contact us. We will create new groups based on demand. If you are not a current client, we require a half hour meeting and assessment with your child at least two weeks before the group begins, to ensure that the group will be effective for your child. This session is $60. Children are placed in groups according to their developmental age. Content of groups is modified based on the needs of the children in each group.
Please send us a request for the time that is most convenient for you, and we will do our best to accommodate you. We can not guarantee that this will result in a group at the time you request. If your child does not have a diagnoses, please put 'none' or leave blank after including your child's name and age. Children do not need to have a diagnoses to participate in these groups. Please let us know in your comments whether your child can attend sessions with or without a parent or guardian.
